A slew of Black talent will find their way on the set of American Soul‘s second season, portraying some of the most iconic characters, including, Darius McCrary, Tone Bell, Ledisi, Melanie Fiona and more. The series, which chronicles the real-life story of Soul Train, debuted on BET last year and starred Sinqua Walls as Don Cornelius.
Season one showed us just how believable Kelly Rowland was as Gladys Knight and Bobby Brown as Rufus Thomas. So who will play some of music’s biggest stars on the small screen? McCrary will take on the role of James Brown.
