Over the last week Pastor John Gray has been in the headlines heavy (he addressed his infidelity with wife Aventer Gray and shut down those rumors of using church money to buy her a $200K Lamborghini).

In a New Year’s Eve service, the Relentless Church leader revealed he wanted to end his life in 2018, telling the South Carolina congregation, “2018 tried to kill me so I thought I’d try to dress for the occasion. I literally thought about how I could end my life and still get to Heaven and somehow my kids would not be scarred but there was no way I could figure out how to do it. And I’m not the only person that thought about that. I’m not the only person the devil attacked in that area.”

But it was over the weekend in Glenarden, Maryland where Bishop T.D. Jakes would “call out” the spirit of suicide over the OWN reality television star. “Nobody told you it was gonna be like this. And I don’t even wanna open this up in public because I know how deep it is….there’s too much anointing in this room to minister to everybody else and leave you sitting over there festering. You said it in a joking way, but when the spirit of suicide hangs around your house, trying to get you back…I call it out.”

Look, think what you want about his sometimes controversial comments, but this man is a husband and a father having to balance life at a higher speed than most of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his beautiful family.
