Last month rumors of Lakeith Stanfield joining the cast of Jordan Peele‘s second remake (his reboot of “The Twilight Zone starring Sanaa Lathan airs next month), “Candyman” surfaced, and while nothing has been confirmed, we do have a lead for the iconic horror movie. Say hello to Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Mostly known for his roles in “The Get Down,” “The Greatest Showman” and “Aquaman,” Abdul-Mateen (he also stars in Peele’s newest flick, “Us”) is from New Orleans, Louisiana. The 32-year-old award-winning hurdler is a graduate of the University of California Berkley and fine. Before beginning his career as an actor he reportedly worked in San Francisco as a city planner.
