Last year, Jordan Peele announced he would be reviving a classic, The Twilight Zone, and the trailer is finally here! Sanaa Lathan, alongside Steven Yeun, John Cho, Kumail Nanjiani, Jacob Tremblay, and more will star in the chilling remake that will leave you with so much suspense, and wondering what world you’re even in. Watch below:

“I was terrified,” Peele told Variety last year. “Why would I ever jump into the most established, pristine shoes in all of the genre? I could rip ‘Twilight Zone’ off and call it something different and not be compared to Rod Serling. So I stepped away from it. And then several months later I got another call.” After watching that trailer, aren’t you glad he picked up?

The original show was created and hosted by Rod Serling in 1959, according to Ebony. But the comedian’s version technically isn’t the first time the program has been revived. It was previously revamped from 1985-1989, and then again in 2002.

“The realization, for me, was that it was an opportunity to attempt to continue with Serling’s mission,” said the “Get Out” director. “If we approach it without ego and sort of bow to Serling, that will hopefully suffice for our fellow ‘Twilight Zone’ fans but also bring back a show that I think is needed right now. Because it’s a show that has always helped us look at ourselves, hold a mirror up to society.”

With his magic touch on projects like “BlacKkKlansman,” and upcoming films “Us” and “Candyman” (another remake), the 40-year-old is sure to make old and new fans see culture with a fresh, new perspective.

The series is set to air on April 1.
