Almost a year after Tisha Campbell-Martin filed for divorce from husband Duane Martin, a Los Angeles judge has granted the actress a temporary restraining order, requiring the L.A.’s Finest star to stay at least 100 yards away from her. According to TMZ, “Duane started physically, emotionally and mentally abusing Tisha at the start of their marriage in 1996. She says he berated her about her weight and inability to land roles because of it.” She even says “once he punched her in the chest with a closed fist.” And as recently as December, he “grabbed me by my arm to try to get me in the bedroom.”

Tisha and Duane were married for 27 years and the news, which she announced on Twitter in February, shocked fans everywhere.

So why after almost 30 years of marriage is she speaking out now? She says, “I can no longer live in fear of retaliation … the need [to] press criminal charges for his acts overshadows the embarrassment of making his crimes against me public through this report.”

Yikes. This doesn’t sound good at all. Especially after petitioning for spousal support and seeking to split physical and legal custody of their two children Xen, 16, and Ezekiel, 8.
