Tracee Ellis Ross Nabs Director Title On ‘Blackish’

It seems as Tracee Ellis Ross‘ fourth season negotiations might have paid off!

The 45-year-old Golden Globe winner excitedly revealed on Instagram she’s directing an upcoming episode of Blackish.

While we don’t know if this sudden move had always been in the works or if its a result of her mid season negotiations that sparked rumors of her leaving the hit show, either way, we’re thrilled at the opportunity.

The trend of celebrities directing an episode of a series they are the star of is nothing new, but we’ve seen an onslaught of it as of lately. Kerry Washington made the transition to director on this week’s episode of Scandal. Watch her in action below.
