If you thought the #TimesUp movement was a fad, this reported move shows us it’s anything but.

After several sources revealed that Tracee Ellis Ross gets paid “significantly less” than Blackish co-star Anthony Anderson, the 45-year-old may appear less on the hit show and reportedly plans to make up the difference with appearances on other shows if the salaries aren’t evened out.

So why does Tracee make less than Anthony? A network source told The Hollywood Reporter it could be because Anderson also serves as Executive Producer.

While that may make sense for some of the difference, there has to be another reason Ross is underpaid in her role. Just last year she won a Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy or musical TV series, becoming the first black woman to do so in 35 years. Anderson has been nominated for several Globes and Emmys, but has won neither.

Earlier this week while taking home the award for outstanding actress in a comedy series at the 49th NAACP Image Awards, she talked about the importance of women standing up for themselves. Watch below.

While we’d hate to see less of Dr. Rainbow Johnson, we’re not mad at Tracee’s decision in the least bit.
