Philly Fourth Of July Jam

As Lauryn Hill awaits sentencing in November over her federal tax case comes word that the state of New Jersey is requesting she pay them the $440,000 she owes in back taxes.

A civil judgment was issued against Ms. Hill back in June and found that the rapper-singer is responsible for $446,386 in unpaid state taxes. This on top of the $1.8 million tax lien filed by the federal government.

Let this be a lesson to you: Don’t play Uncle Sam. Not now, not ever. Well, unless you’re Mitt Romney and have an amazing tax attorney.
