Alicia Keys is still fighting off accusations that she’s a homewrecker, ready to snatch your husband and humiliate you should she feel the urge.
Speaking with JET, Alicia says she often chooses not to address the situation because “there’s no need to fight what’s not true.”
On Mashonda and Swizz Beatz’s marriage:
[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true…
Meanwhile, Alicia went on to rationalize why she and Swizz’s love is so strong:
“I’d never met a person where I could be fully myself. Swizz and I live in each other’s shadow. So we can occupy the same space and there is nothing but equality. There’s something really powerful about that.”
Well, Mashonda heard about the interview, and judging from these tweets, didn’t seem to agree:
"Adding insult to injury" This was derived from the fables of Phaedrus in the first century AD. Apparently it’s still alive in 2012.
You can’t create truth, it’s already made…….
