Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is talking now with moderator Roland Martin at a live town hall, hosted by the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus.

During the event, Clinton will discuss issues important to South Carolinians, including college affordability, gun violence, and the economy. Martin — who hosts the first morning news program in history to focus on news and analysis of politics, entertainment, sports, and culture from an explicitly African-American perspective — is also expected to question Clinton on issues that disproportionately affect the Black community, including criminal justice reform, police brutality, employment rates, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

“African-Americans are some of the most sophisticated voters in America, and they deserve to hear from all of the presidential candidates, Republican and Democrat,” said Martin. “We’ve already had sit down interviews with Dr. Ben Carson and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, and we are looking forward to hearing directly from Secretary Hillary Clinton about the issues that are top of mind for African-Americans. And it is my desire for every candidate to speak to our audience as to why they should be president of the United States.”

Viewers are encouraged to join the conversation using the hashtag #NewsOneNow to send questions that Martin may ask Clinton on air.

On Monday, NewsOne Now will devote their entire program to covering Clinton’s Town Hall Meeting. Stay tuned for more exclusive coverage and be sure to follow @NewsOne and @RolandMartin for updates.
