The Talk has found its newest host! A few weeks following TV One’s report on Eve‘s departure from the Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show, former Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Elaine Welteroth steps in as a permanent co-host.

Welteroth shared the news in an Instagram post captioned, “This is unequivocally, one hundred percent a God Thing and there is no other way to put it.”

“I can’t even express how humbled, how in awe, how excited, and how much JOY I feel to have the opportunity to join them EVERY DAY on a platform that reaches outside of my own echo chamber and into the hearts and minds of households all across this country, a platform that cultivates connection, kindness, and understanding in a singular moment in our world when we need it most,” she continued. “This is a dream job I never saw coming but I’m so beyond grateful it’s here.”

The New York Times best-selling author included a heartwarming video of the moment she told her mom the exciting news. Nonetheless, as a newlywed, it wasn’t necessarily the news she was expecting. Take a look:

And if you needed another reason for the importance of representation, Welteroth shared that she’s “Looking forward to bringing more head-to-toe Black designer moments to daytime TV. LET’S GOO!!”

Congratulations, Elaine Welteroth!
