The personal trainer posted the news on her Instagram story Wednesday night (Nov. 4).

“Y’all know I’m honest and transparent so I have to be the first to let you guys know that I am no longer engaged to Lamar,” she wrote. “This has been a difficult decision for me to make but it is the best for myself and my children.” Parr also noted that “Lamar has some things that he alone has to work through.”

The former NBA player has suffered from substance abuse in the past and was hospitalized in 2015 after he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel near Las Vegas. In an episode of Uncensored, the Queens native recalled the first time he tried cocaine and wishes he never picked it up as it “unleashed a demon.” While appearing on Kevin Hart‘s Laugh Out Loud series Cold As Balls three years following the overdose, Odom revealed that his doctors told him he was a “walking miracle” as he suffered from “12 strokes and six heart attacks when I was in a coma.”

After three months of dating, Odom proposed to Parr in Miami on November 2019. He took to social media to introduce his fiance by captioning the photo of her engagement ring, “Soon to be Mrs. Parr-Odom. She the ONE!!!!”

The couple celebrated their engagement in September. “I had a great time at my engagement party with the special ladies in my life,” he wrote. “It was so important to me for my family and friends, especially my daughter to be there with me this time around.”

In 2019, the 40-year-old released his memoir titled “Darkness to Light.” The overview reads that “His exclusive and revealing memoir recounts the highs and lows of fame and his struggle with his demons along the way to self-discovery and redemption.”
