BET is adding yet another promising musical miniseries to their catalog with Uptown, the story of Andre Harrell‘s iconic New York record label Uptown Records, responsible for launching the careers of Lyor Cohen, Al B. Sure, Christopher Williams, Russell Simmons, Diddy, Heavy D & The Boyz, Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, Aaron Hall and countless others.
Casting for the 2020 series starts this weekend in New Jersey and heads to Dallas the next weekend. According to reports, the network is on the hunt for a 90s version of Harrell, Diddy, Heavy D, Jodeci, Porter, Blige and Hall.
This is going to be GOOD.
