So what can fans expect? Deadline says Yoba is“now overseeing the unit and the next generation of detectives.” The revival would follow “detectives Nat Gilmore and Melissa Ortiz as they investigate the city’s most dangerous criminals, from Harlem to Battery Park.” At this point, there’s no word on if Michael DeLorenzo will make an appearance, but let’s hope so.

The original series, which aired for four seasons, starred Yoba and DeLorenzo as undercover detectives, marking the first police drama on U.S. television to feature two people of color in starring roles. Remember their Unsung Hollywood episode? Watch below.
