Wendy Williams has been on a hiatus from her talk show after being hospitalized due to major health complications with her Graves disease, but it seems as if the drama in her own life is coming to the surface. According to her mother-in-law, the former radio host has been a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her own husband.
For months, rumors have been swirling about Wendy and her man, Kevin Hunter. It’s been reported he’s cheated on her multiple times, has a baby on the way with his mistress, and there have even been divorce rumors, all of which she’s shut down. But now, Kevin’s mother, Pearlet Hunter, is opening up about what’s really going down in their marriage. According to Bossip, she said, “I saw Kevin choking out Wendy! Another time, I witnessed him kicking the sh*t out of her and pushing her down the stairs.”
A former employee of hers also detailed in a lawsuit that Williams “suffered horrendous physical abuse at the hands of her husband of hell.” Hunter, who is also the host’s manager, reportedly has had a bad rep in the entertainment industry for years which includes an alleged history of physical mistreatment.
After admitting in 2017 that she was sexually harassed as a teenager, it’s sad to hear of these allegations made about Wendy’s marriage. But, this isn’t the first time a mother is speaking up. Prior to their public split, Evelyn Braxton, Tamar Braxton‘s mother made similar abuse allegations about her daughter’s now-estranged husband, Vincent Herbert.
