2018 has not been kind to celebrity relationships. From Forest Whitaker and his wife Keisha to Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower, another couple is calling it quits.  It looks as if Usher and Grace Miguel will go through with their divorce. The singer has officially filed after the pair released a joint statement in March announcing their separation.

“After much thought and consideration, we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” they said in a statement released in March. “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives,” they confirm in the statement. “The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”

The couple, who eloped in Cuba in September 2015, found themselves embroiled in an alleged Herpes scandal last year. Unfazed by the accusations Miguel stood by the 40-year-old’s side even though singer Angie Stone all but confirmed the rumors to be true.

This marks Usher’s second divorce (he was previously married to Tameka Foster, whom he shares two sons with). Miguel also manages the eight-time Grammy winner. There’s been no word on if a professional relationship will continue.
