Back in April Kelis sat down with Hollywood Unlocked with a myriad of shocking claims against ex-husband Nas. In the hour-long interview, she alleged the Queens rapper was physically abusive. “I have edited myself for nine years…and I woke up this morning and was like, not today.”

“There was a lot of drinking. A lot of mental and physical abuse. I probably would’ve stayed longer if I wasn’t pregnant (she filed for divorce at seven months pregnant). We would fight. I never just sat there…but we would fight.”
Five months later Nas has finally responded and he’s addressing every claim, including the abuse allegations and their very public physical custody battle (the two share a son, eight-year-old Knight).
