One of the most prominent faces of the Black Lives Matter movement, DeRay McKesson, will be releasing a book this year. The activist made the official announcement on Twitter.
“The book is an opportunity to share a host of ideas and stories about resistance, Blackness and a pathway to freedom in a fully developed way,” said DeRay in an interview with Buzzfeed.
The 32-year old became best known for his rise to activism, and becoming a part of the Black Lives Matter conversation following the tragic police-shooting of Michael Brown.
The book will be called, On the Other Side of Freedom: The Case For Hope. We can’t wait to read about his journey through activism and reflections about his progress.
