Celebrities At The Lakers Game

Last week, Mary J. Blige and her husband were sued over a $2.2 million bank loan, which they were accused of defaulting on. Reuters looked at the court documents filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, which revealed that Signature Bank is seeking to recoup the original loan plus $58,000 in interest. Blige and Kendu Isaacs took out the loan in October 2011 and defaulted in July 2012, per the suit. The lawsuit also listed Blige’s production company, Mary Jane Productions Inc.

Given Blige has sold 50 million albums worldwide, enjoyed several successful tours, and numerous endorsement deals, I have a hard time believing Mary is two bounced checks away from singing for crispy chickens just to have something to eat. That said, good luck to whatever accountant destined to catch the clap back over the matter.
