Q-Tip let them have it! The Recording Academy failed to nominate A Tribe Called Quest (ATCB) for their latest album We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service and he’s PISSED.
“This last Tribe album, it stands with everybody’s else s**t out there….I’m sick of you f******g Grammy n****s,” preaches Q-Tip in one of his five Instagram posts.
He goes on to call out how the Grammys pressed them to hit the stage last year, in remembrance of Phife Dawg. They closed the show with an epic performance and couldn’t even make the nomination list the following year. SMH.
But Phife Dawg’s lyrics still speak truth: “I never let a statue tell me how nice I am.”
