Jennifer Hudson has lost primary custody of her son. According to TMZ, the Oscar winner’s ex-fiancé, David Otunga, has been granted primary custody over the former couple’s 8-year-old son, David Jr.

When the couple announced their split earlier this month, many were surprised by Hudson’s attempt to get an order of protection from her former lover. Just before Thanksgiving The Voice coach voluntarily dropped the order, which prohibited David from having contact with their son or her.

Otunga was reportedly granted primary custody due to Hudson’s busy work schedule (she’s currently in the London filming The Voice UK and works in Los Angeles filming the American run of the show).
