Just last week news broke that Tyler Perry would be portraying Colin Powell in an upcoming Dick Cheney biopic, and now it seems as if Hollywood has another actor in mind for a similar role.

In an independent biopic about the former Secretary of State, Morgan Freeman has reportedly been tapped as the guy who will bring Powell’s infamous 2003 speech to life. According to Variety, the film will show Powell “seeking support for the Bush administration’s plan to forcibly remove Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, based on intelligence — later discredited — that Iraq was developing nuclear weapons.”

Freeman is no stranger to biopics. He starred in Invictus, portraying South African President Nelson Mandela. He would receive his fifth Oscar nomination for the role.
