Idris Elba is taking a year-long break from acting to pursue his music career. Yes, the British actor, who DJs under the name “Driis,” is currently embarking on a seven-week residency at a London nightclub.
He also recently directed a video for folk rockers Mumford & Sons.
Now, he’s hoping to take it all a few steps further. Idris told the Daily Mirror: “This year I’m not going to work as an actor so I can concentrate on music.
