Martin Lawrence appeared on Steve Harvey‘s new daytime talk show (yes, new. The Emmy winning Steve Harvey Show has moved from Chicago to Los Angeles and is now called Steve) Wednesday and opened up about several topics, one that includes the range of characters he played in Martin.

“A lot of the characters that I did like Sheneneh, Otis, Jerome…I loved doing those characters.”

Can the 52-year-old bring to life one of the show’s most iconic and most quotable character? Watch below

This has been a stellar year for Lawrence. Earlier this week news broke that the comedian and actor would be receiving a long overdue honor at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors and just last month we found out that he would be participating in the 25th anniversary of Def Comedy Jam. Now if you’re waiting on a the Bad Boys trilogy to be complete…you might be waiting longer than you’d like. Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly last month that he doesn’t think it will happen.

Even though it seems as if the world took forever to catch up to Martin‘s greatness, we’re just glad they are.
