At this point we don’t need another reason to love Chance The Rapper, but in the event that you do, the Emmy nominated 24-year-old, yes you read that right, announced the very first award show dedicated to educators.
At his first Social Works Summit, Chance channeled Steve Jobs (peep the fit), and made the incredible announcement that the Twilight Awards, hosted by James Corden, would honor teachers, parents, principals and students that convey leadership.

He also announced a pledge of $2.2M donation from the New Chance Arts and Literature Fund to 20 Chicago Public Schools along with the Chicago Bulls.
“Every contribution … brings this city and this nation closer to providing a well-rounded quality education for each and every child,” he said at the event. “Funding quality education for public [school] students is the most important investment a community can make.”
You’ve got to love this guy. To learn more about Chance’s organization, visit SocialWorks Chicago.
