Idris Elba Never Wants To Remarry

The 44-year-old hunk and British actor, Idris Elba, is featured on this month’s cover of Essence magazine.

Elba is currently in Thailand training for a professional kickboxing tournament and was able to sit down and talk to the magazine about love and his directorial debut in his upcoming film Yardie.

The film is based on the book of the same title which Idris describes as “semifamous”. “It’s set in the late ’70s, early ’80s, a hotbed of Jamaican culture in London, but then crack cocaine arrives,” says Idris. He also credited the piece of English literature as “part of the reason [he] became a man”.

Maybe a remarried man?

“Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don’t think so. Yeah, I don’t think so,” he reveals. “Marriage is an institution of sorts. And I’ve done it. It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.”
