The race for Hip Hop’s first billionaire is closer than ever.

Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Live Nation announced an exclusive 10-year touring partnership that continues Jay’s longstanding partnership with the world’s biggest live-entertainment company. Reportedly worth $200M, the deal includes worldwide touring in addition to Live Nation producing and promoting the rapper’s concert events.

The news of Mr. Carter’s big deal comes the same week Forbes released their annual richest in hip hop’s list. The question of hip hop’s first billionaire has been a guessing game for ages now (why do we love counting other people’s money?) and while most of us thought that title would go to Dr. Dre after his $3 billion deal with Apple in 2014, the Compton rapper has only rounded out the top three every year since.

So who are the top five wealthiest Hip Hop artist? Let’s countdown.

Drake: $90M

Birdman: $110M

Dr. Dre: $740M

Jay Z: $810M

Diddy: $820M

We’re sure a quick sale of the twins’ baby pictures would put Jay at the top spot.
