Tami Roman entertained a career in the modeling world before securing a role on MTV’s hit reality show The Real World. Over the course of Tami’s career, she has worked as a relief VJ for MTV hosting Beach MTV, MTV Jams, Primetime MTV and Rude Awakening. Tami has landed series regular roles on over five network pilots, secured recurring roles on Summerland, Sex, Love, and Secrets and CBS’s vampire hit Moonlight and has made numerous guest-starring appearances on several shows. Tami can now be seen as the newest cast member on VH1’s hit reality show Basketball Wives, which follows the lives of seven women linked to professional basketball players.
Her Belle’s character, Loreta Cooper is a beautiful, stylish, self-absorbed prima donna with ambitions that alternate between a career in the music business, fashion and finding a rich husband. Loreta dislikes working at Belle’s and often times acts like she does not actually work there. In her mind, she was born to be a star not waiting on tables in a soul food restaurant.
