The University of Houston is a public research institution founded in 1927. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. UH offers more than 120 degree programs through its 13 colleges. Communication, Journalism, Social Sciences, Business and Management are among the most popular majors offered at the university.
