Born July 24, 1965, Hardison became interested in acting when he was in his early teens growing up in Brooklyn, NY. Hardison began studying theater at New York’s Eubie Blake Theater, where one of his instructors Earle Hyman, who later portrayed Grandpa Huxtable, worked with Hardison and helped him to get a guest spot on The Cosby Show. That same year Hardison made his big-screen debut with a small role inBeat Street. He landed a handful of roles in movies and television projects, but his appearance on The Cosby Show earned him a spot on A Different World, the spin-off series featuring Lisa Bonet’s character Denise Huxtable.
