Solange Urges You To Bank “Black”

After a turmoil-filled two weeks, celebrities are turning to social media to encourage and uplift the black community.

These celebrities include our  vintage best-friend-in-our-head, Solange Knowles, who made a  statement on her Instagram after the brutal deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

The decade-fluid star announced that she is officially a member of a Black-owned bank:

Also…. While I realize this is a very personal decision and thing to share, I’m proud to say I made that step today. Time to literally put my money where my mouth is. She did not mention the name of her new bank, however, she did include a link where one can view the list of 21 black-owned banks.

We’d love to see more of our black entertainers and celebrities supporting black-owned financial institutions and businesses.
