Vh1 brought together an array of artists to honor four trailblazing female hip-hop acts: Missy Elliott, Queen Latifah, Salt N Pepa featuring Spinderella, and Lil’ Kim.

Artists included everyone from Remy Ma to Monica to celebrate the quartet, but it was Teyana Taylor that stole the show, honoring Lil’ Kim who happened to be celebrating her birthday that night. Starting with a grand entrance, Teyana and fiance, Cleveland Cavaliers’ Iman Shumpert, hit the red carpet as a classic Lil’ Kim and Biggie:

For the stage, Teyana got the crowd hyped with her performance of Lil Kim’s debut single “No Time” from her debut album Hardcore. Dressed in the outfit from Lil’ Kim’s infamous poster, Teyana Taylor held nothing back, including Lil Kim’s raunchiest and most explicit lyrics (Vh1 tried so very hard to catch it all, but with no luck). For an encore performance, Teyana tore up the stage with Lil Kim’s most-epic-verse-of-all-time in “It’s All About the Benjamins.”

Teyana Taylor did that! We won’t be surprised if we see her play a young Kimberly in a biopic soon!
