According to Shadow & Act, Jamie Foxx is set to star in an Oliver Stone directed biopic of Martin Luther King. The Dreamworks/Warner Bros film will follow MLK from his rise to leader of the civil rights movement until his assassination in 1968.
Foxx won an Oscar for his portrayal of Ray Charles in ‘Ray’ in 2004. We’ve got a lot of faith in the “Blame it on the Alcohol’ singer to put in another award-winning performance. We just hope they give him enough make-up to help us forget about those ridiculous Jamie Foxx show skits. And speaking of funny skits, if you’ve never watched the clip below, watch it–now. Jimmy Fallon Scores Massive Ratings With Kanye Episode
Not that this is a surprise, but ABC is reporting that Jimmy Kimmel won its biggest demo ratings ever without an NBA Finals lead-in on Wednesday night’s make-up session. For what it’s worth, it certainly won’t hurt Kanye’s sufficiently large ego to hear that he drew such a crowd. This I’m sure will further prove his beliefs that he and Kim Kardashian should have a star on the ‘Walk of Fame’. (Deadline)
Babyface Gets A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Usher, Toni Braxton, Diddy and L.A. Reid were just a few of the famous folks who showed up to watch Babyface get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. The ‘For The Cool in You’ singer was understandably geeked about received the accolade. He told USA TODAY, “It was surreal.”
In even more exciting news Babyface has teamed back up with Toni Braxton for a duets album. We’re hoping to finally get back the old school Toni we love so much. When these two team up together they really can’t go wrong. Love, Marriage & Divorce is due out Nov. 25.
Looks like the only person Pam-from-Total has been thinking of kissing lately is her new hubby J. Long. Pam and J are both Christian artists, and apparently J was an unofficial member of Pretty Ricky (yeah, we have no idea what that means). Anywhoo, Pam-from-Total has been on Twitter for the last week receiving and posting ‘thank yous’ from well wishers and friends. (YBF)
Lamar Odum On His Way Back To Basketball?
Yesterday TMZ reported that Lamar Odum tested negative drugs and was headed to NYC for basketball meetings, which, was half-way true. So far it seems that Lam-Lam is indeed clean, but he decided not to hop the plane to the Big Apple. TMZ says he got nervous after they posted their story. We’re still not sure what to make of any of this but we really hope Lamar gets better soon. We heart him and Khloe.
