As we recently saw when Madonna paid tribute to Prince, it’s hard singing another artist’s song. And while Shirley Murdock may not be the big name that Prince was, her song “As We Lay,” is a Quiet Storm classic so it took guts for Kelly Price to remake it.
First off, were we the only ones who forgot Vivica Fox was in Price’s video looking all young and 90’s sexy? Anyway, it’s safe to say that Price pretty much owned her version of the classic song, but remakes don’t always go right.
