Five folks we think got snubbed at the 2017 Oscars.
1. Andre Holland — "Moonlight"

It’s clear “Moonlight” wasn’t ignored by the Academy but Holland at least deserves some cred for his amazing role in this ground-breaking film.
2. Taraji P. Henson — "Hidden Figures"

How ironic that the Academy rewards “Hidden Figures,” a movie about Black girl magic going unrecognized, with lots of noms but fails to recognize what made the film so magical — the lead actress Taraji!
3. Trevante Rhodes — "Moonlight"

We get it. You can’t nominate EVERYBODY from this movie, but man, this dude KILLED it!
4. Lupita Nyong'o — "Queen of Katwe"

Since winning her Oscar for “12 Years a Slave,” Lupita has been an animated alien in “Star Wars,” an animated wolf in “Jungle Book.” The next time we see her face is in this amazing film and she deserves more credit for it.
5. Nate Parker — "Birth of a Nation"

Controversy aside, Parker was riveting in this film that dared bring the often shushed story of Nat Turner’s slave rebellion to the big screen.
