Just two months after announcing their secret wedding, Lena Waithe and wife Alana Mayo have divorced.
According to reports, the former couple released a joint statement confirming the news, “After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways. We have nothing but support for one another and ask that you respect our privacy during this time.”
In November The Chi creator and Mayo, who works as an executive for Michael B. Jordan‘s production company Outlier, told John Legend, “We didn’t make any announcements or a big… We went to San Francisco. We went to the courthouse, got married right in front of Harvey Milk‘s bust.”
