Another one of Denzel Washington‘s famous movie roles (Russell Hornsby will play the actor’s character in The Bone Collector coming to NBC) is being recast and this time Queen Latifah is at the helm.

According to Deadline, “The Equalizer stars Queen Latifah as an enigmatic figure who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn.” Washington starred in both the 2014 film and 2018 sequel.
Latifah’s role is a reimagining of sorts and marks the return of the franchise to the small screen, which made its debut on CBS in 1985 and starred Edward Woodward.
