It’s been almost a year since Damon Wayans abruptly left FOX’s hit show Lethal Weapon and while he won’t return to that network, for now, he is making a triumphant return to ABC with a new family comedy, Let’s Stay Together. According to Deadline, the series is inspired by Wayans’s life and will see “a family comedy for a new kind of family.” It will reportedly follow Wayans as a single father whose millennial kids live (and their own children) live with him.

Damon’s return to ABC will be his first since the network aired My Wife & Kids from 2001-2005, starring Tisha Campbell Martin, Jennifer Freeman, Parker McKenna Posey and George O. Gore II.
