Taylour Paige will join the all-star line up of Netflix’s August Wilson adaptation, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and she’ll be sharing the small screen with Viola Davis in a very intimate way.

The 28-year-old, mostly known for her role on VH1’s Hit The Floor and TV One’s Jean of the Joneses, and as the new girl on Jesse Williams‘ arm, will reportedly star as Ma Rainey’s lover, Dussie Mae. Chadwick Boseman and Glynn Turman are also apart of the cast, with Denzel Washington and Ruben Santiago-Hudson adapting.

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom will be released on Netflix as part of a multi-film deal featuring Wilson’s works. The play premiered in the mid-’80s and ran for 276 performances. The original cast featured Theresa Merritt as the lead and John Carpenter, Charles S. Dutton, Leonard Jackson, Robert Judd, Christopher Loomis, Aleta Mitchell, and Joe Seneca.
