Sherri Shepherd’s recently sat down on The DL Hughley show and revealed that she got married to her ex-husband Lamar Sally because she was lonely and horny.
“I was in a place in New York by myself, lonely. I was also raised to in the church to believe you can’t have sex before you get married, so I was horny! This idea that it’s better to get married than to burn. So I got married too because I was horny.”
In the new interview, DL Hughley revealed that he thought that her ex-husband was a “sorry a– dude” when they first met. Apparently, the late night host isn’t the only person who felt this way. According to Shepherd she heard but ignored this warning from others such as Steve Harvey, Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, and Kym Whitley.

It was also mentioned that after things fell apart for the couple, the actress had a brief falling out with her friend and fellow actress Niecy Nash who introduced the two to each other.

She doesn’t blame the Claws actress for the relationship and the When They See Us actress also made up for the matchmaking fail when she called Sally out during the custody battle.
The Mr. Iglesias actress and her ex were married from 2011 to 2015. She was previously married to Jeff Tarpley from 2001 to 2010.
