Nominees for the 2019 BET Awards have been released and it looks like Cardi B and Drake are set to win big at that June 23rd event happening in Los Angeles.
The “Bartier Cardi” rapper is up for seven awards including two for video of the year, best female hip-hop artist, and album of the year. Drizzy comes behind her with five nominations.
This news feels like deja vu as both artists scored huge at the Billboard Music Awards held earlier in May. The “God’s Plan” rapper made history winning twelve awards that night and Kulture’s mom followed with six wins.

Beyoncé is up for four awards including best female R&B/pop artist, going against her sister Solange, Ella Mai, SZA, H.E.R., and Teyana Taylor.
Mrs. Carter recently won Entertainer of The Year at the 50th NAACP Image Awards.
The late Nipsey Hussle is also up for an award, joining Drake, J.Cole, Travis Scott, Meek Mill, and 21 Savage as a nominee for best male hip-hop artist.
This was a major year for music, making album-of-the-year the most talked about category. Here’s who is up for the big award:
