One thing we’re not going to do is play with Bun B‘s life or that of his family’s. It doesn’t seem as if Demonte Jackson got the memo though. According to ABC 13 in Houston, the legendary rapper’s wife, Angela ‘Queenie’ Walls, answered the door to their home Tuesday thinking it was an Amazon delivery person. Instead, it was an intruder who apparently tried to force his way into their home.

“He was seen trying to force his way into other homes in the neighborhood and was successful in forcing his way into their home, and put a gun to his wife’s head,” said attorney Charles Adams, who represents the Houston native. Reports also say, “Once he forced his way inside, police say Bun B’s wife directed the robber to their car. “In fear of her life she told the suspect, ‘Please don’t kill me, please don’t kill me, just take the car,'” read a court reporter during Jackson’s initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon.

Bun B grabbed his gun and went downstairs, finding Jackson in the garage.  According to court records, the two men exchanged gunfire, and Jackson ran away, only to show up at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. Jackson was arrested and is now facing three felony charges.

Known for being one part of the iconic rap duo UGK with the late Chad ‘Pimp C’ Butler, Bun B is mostly known for his hits, Throwed, Draped Up and the group’s feature on JAY-Z‘s Big Pimpin’.

Bun B and his wife have been married for 15 years.
