After the CW said yes to a Dynasty reboot in 2017, fans of the iconic series noticed the role, Dominique Deveraux was noticeably missing — until now. Michael Michele has been cast in the role and will reportedly make her debut in season two.
Diahann Carroll famously played the legendary role of Deveraux from 1984-1987. Remember this epic television moment?
No stranger to the big and small screen Michele is most known for her role on the original Grey’s Anatomy, E.R. opposite Eriq La Salle. Most recently the 52-year-old actress appeared on Lee Daniel’s Star.
So how will Dominique fit into the story in 2019? Sources say, “fabulously elegant, self-made woman, known for her outrageous fashion sense and penchant for drama. Dominique will return to Atlanta after a long stint in New York City where she spent the past several years seeking fame and adulation… to no avail. Now Dominique is home to reconnect with her estranged children, but does she really want to be part of their lives, or will she just disappoint them all over again? And what will the Carringtons have to say about her sudden, mysterious return?”
We can hardly wait!
