‘When They See Us’, Ava DuVernay’s Story Of The Central Park Five Is Here [WATCH]

A trailer for the highly anticipated series of the infamous Central Park Five is here! Last summer Ava DuVernay cast Michael K. Williams alongside Vera Farmiga and John Leguizamo in the four-episode project debuting in May on Netflix as  Bobby McCray, the father of one of the teens implicated.

Based on a true story, Central Park Five will chronicle the notorious case of five black teenagers, Antron McCrayKevin Richardson, Yusef SalaamRaymond Santana and Korey Wise, who were convicted of a rape they did not commit. The series will span from the spring of 1989, when each was first questioned about the incident, to 2014 when they were exonerated, and a settlement was reached with the city of New York.
