Wednesday morning Logan Browning and Winston Duke announced the nominees for the 50th NAACP Image Awards and we had no doubt the NAACP would get it right! Ella Mai, Jade Novah, Koryn Hawthorne, Omar Wilson and Torey Lanez kicked off the celebration as nominees in the Outstanding New Artist category.

Continuing in music, Janelle Monae, The Carters, MAJOR., Ella Mai and H.E.R. will compete for Outstanding Album of the year.

BlackKklansman, Black Panther, Crazy Rich Asians, If Beale Street Could Talk and The Hate U Give were nominated for Oustanding Motion Picture while Sanaa Lathan, Viola Davis, Kiki Layne, Constance Wu and Amandla Stenberg celebrated nods in the Outstanding Actress In A Motion Picture.
