Just last month, A.J. Calloway was hit with more sexual assault allegations by two women who spoke openly to The Daily Beast about their experiences with him. In light of the ongoing investigation due to the complaints, Extra has now decided to suspend him.

Previously, a spokesperson for the show stated the arguments made against him would not affect his work on the program, but in a new statement, Warner Bros. Television explained how that changed: “Upon becoming aware of allegations of sexual misconduct against AJ Calloway, we began an internal review to determine whether there had been any misconduct by Mr. Calloway on Extra and whether any employee of the show had been the victim of any such misconduct. To date, we have found nothing to suggest that Mr. Calloway has ever engaged in workplace misconduct.”

With no new information disclosed from Calloway’s co-workers, the words of the women who’ve spoken out must have a significant amount of weight on the entertainment show’s decision to temporarily remove him. “In light of additional allegations brought to our attention, we are expanding our ongoing inquiries, and Mr. Calloway has been suspended pending further review,” said the report made by the production company. “We take such allegations very seriously and are committed to doing everything we can to ensure a safe and inclusive workplace for all of our employees.”

The 44-year-old previously denied claims of sexual misconduct made by activist Sil Lai Abrams, who wrote an exposé through The Hollywood Reporter last year detailing what went down between them. And after this most recent news, she agreed with the host’s punishment, even possibly expressing it should’ve happened sooner:

Even Terry Crews, who broke his silence on being sexually abused in Hollywood, is wondering what took higher ups so long to investigate the allegations made by these women.

According to PEOPLE, a statement made by the TV personality’s lawyer, Lisa E. Davis mirrors the same rejections of the accusations: “Mr. Calloway maintains that these unsubstantiated allegations are patently false. He vehemently denies that he ever assaulted anyone and looks forward to clearing his name.”
