Over the last week, rumors surfaced of Diddy and longtime girlfriend Cassie‘s big split. The duo, who’ve been together on and off for about 10 years and were even thought to be engaged at some point, have reportedly called it quits for reasons unknown.

Over the weekend the 48-year-old music mogul and philanthropist (his third school will open in the Bronx in 2019) seemingly confirmed the rumors to be true, taking to Instagram to plead his love for the 32-year-old. Hoping Michael Jackson‘s Lady In My Life will do the trick, Diddy solicited the help of the world wide web to get in touch with Cassie. “If anyone sees @cassie this weekend please tell her to listen to this song 100 times! ❤️ LOVE”

Cute, but we think he’s going to have to come harder than that. Over the years Diddy has addressed why he hasn’t married any of the women in his life, seemingly Cassie (he does, however, believe in a love contract), but it doesn’t seem as if she was ever bothered that marriage might not be the end result.
“We have a certain type of relationship and it just works the way it is…it’s the idea of marriage people put in marriage. I do believe in marriage and I do believe in love.” Watch below and start at the 6:19 mark.
