Season two of Red Table Talk returned Monday and Will Smith joined the infamous table with his mother-in-law Adrienne Banfield Norris (affectionately known as Gammy), Jada Pinkett Smith and their 17-year-old daughter Willow Smith.

“For years and years, there has been a lot of speculation about us. Our family has been private. We have created a marital and family paradigm that has been speculated about for a lot of years so I’m excited to sit down and tell the truth,” the actor said.

Aptly titled Becoming Mr. & Mrs. Smith, part one brought up a ton of little-known facts about the famous Hollywood couple, including how they REALLY met, why the actor said no to divorcing ex-wife Sheree Fletcher, Jada’s disdain for marriage and what it represents and even revealing she may have dated another Fresh Prince of Bel-Air castmate.

On Jada dating Alphonso Ribeiro (he has since denied the claim):

“I actually think I dated Alphonso. We went on one date together…I dated a lot of people.”

On refusing to divorce ex-wife Sheree Fletcher:

“Sheree filed for divorce on Valentine’s Day. I was like ouch. And I told her no, you can’t have a divorce. She hit me with the “so you’re going to make someone stay with you that doesn’t love you?”

On how Will and Jada hooked up the day Will got divorced:

“…I signed the divorce papers. I walked out of there and I had Jada’s number. She literally moved back to Baltimore…and bought a farm. She had left the business. I said hey Jada, what’s up it’s Will…so Are you seeing anybody? She said no. I said cool, you’re seeing me now. And she said okay! She got on a plane and flew back to LA. She never spent one night on her farm in Baltimore.”

The conversation also touched on why Jada never liked the idea of marriage, despite being in an almost 21-year relationship with one of the biggest stars in the world.

“I knew I never wanted to be married…I never really agreed with the construct. I just don’t agree with it. I still don’t. All the rules and the ideas…because of this title wife…I’m not that.”

Will, on the other hand, knew from age five he wanted to be married. “For me, I knew I would squander my life if I was running around. The way my mind works…I can only excel for a woman.”
