Max Lomas, Friend Who Found Bobbi Kristina In Bathtub, Dead From Overdose

According to death investigation papers from the Mississippi State Medical Examiner obtained by PEOPLE, Max Lomas, the friend who discovered Bobbi Kristina unresponsive in a bathtub in 2015, was found by a friend in the bathroom of a home slumped over a toilet “with a syringe nearby.” He was 28. Back in 2016, Lomas told the magazine, “We were all pretty bad into drugs.” He also opened up about living with Whitney Houston and even revealing he and Bobbi Kristina had been romantically involved. “[Whitney] loved that we were dating and always wanted me to protect Krissy.”

He even detailed the nature of Krissy and Nick Gordon‘s volatile relationship, “Their relationship was bipolar. [They had] extreme highs and lows and would fight, mostly about jealousy.” Two weeks before Brown’s incident, “we all decided that we were going to get off drugs, live healthier lifestyles. We all went to the gym together. But it didn’t work out. We started using again.”

In November 2016, Gordon was found civilly liable for Bobbi Kristina’s death and ordered to pay $36 million to her estate. Since then Bobby Brown has made his feelings known against the guy who he says is responsible for his daughter’s death. In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, he was asked if he felt like “justice” had been given. To that Brown replied, “no, not yet…he’s still walking around free. Justice? If he was locked up somewhere where somebody can rape him. That’s just how I feel. He raped me by taking my daughter away.”
