It’s no secret raising a child as a single parent is incredibly difficult. Having an absent mother or father presents challenges that can be proven difficult to overcome. Sherri Shepherd is learning this first hand raising her son Jeffery.
In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the former View co-host revealed her son, who attends a predominately white school, doesn’t like black girls because he thinks they’re “mean”.
“I am going through this thing, he likes these girls. Because he came in and he said, ‘Mommy, I like white girls. The little Black girls get mean with him.”
Shepherd continues saying, the blacks girls “don’t wanna speak” and “sometimes they act crazy.”
“And he’s like, ‘Why they act so crazy? And I’m like, ‘I don’t know. So I keep trying to tell the little girls to be nicer so he can come towards you. But the other girls see him and they go, ‘Hey, Jeffrey’ and they wanna feel his hair…”
